This tour travels north to the cool mountain lake area of Bedugal where we visit the Botanical Gardens, the International Golf Course, the bustling fruit market & for those who are game, we can stop off at the lake to indulge in the many water sports there. This is a very popular tour because it takes in a broad cross-section of Balinese culture & of the crater at Mount Batur. Along the way we visit Batubulan to see a traditional Barong Dance. The next stop is the village of Celuk which is known for it’s gold & silversmiths. We visit Mas, a centre for wood carving & Ubud for it’s famous art & paintings. Further north is the Elephant cave at Goa Gajah, then lunch break is at Kintamani. Before returning south-west via Sebatu, we visit the Holy Spring Water Temple, Tampak Siring. This tour to Besakih follows the same route as ‘tour 2’ but omits the visit to the ancient village. We visit the ancient courthouse of Kertagosa at Klungkung & enjoy lunch overlooking the terraced rice fields of Bukit Jambul. We then go on to Kusamba to visit the bat cave. The first part of this tour is as tour #11 (on the half day tours page), except along the way you’ll also visit a local weaving shop in Umabian & see local weavers at work. You’ll have your lunch break in Tabanan, then travel north to the lovely Butterfly Park at Wanasari. Next we travel back through Tabanan to Kerambitan, a village noted for it’s beautiful old buildings & Palaces of the Tabanan Royal Family.
